Karachi: A watchman was killed due to a powerful cylinder explosion in a computer parts warehouse located in North Nazimabad.
According to the report, there was a loud explosion in the warehouse of computer parts located in bungalow number B 356 near N. People’s Chowrangi, North Nazimabad, due to the filling of gas in the warehouse of computer parts. woke up.
Due to the collapse of the roof and wall of the warehouse, the guard of the warehouse was buried under the debris and his body was rescued and shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. Chowkidar was a resident of Liaquatabad and father of 4 children.
As soon as the explosion was reported, the police reached the spot and immediately called the fire brigade, bomb disposal squad and rescuers. A fire tender of the fire brigade quickly brought the fire under control. Due to the explosion, other bungalows adjacent to the warehouse were also partially damaged.
After inspecting the bungalow, bomb disposal squad officials said that the explosion occurred due to gas filling and short circuit in the warehouse.
According to the company workers, the fire started due to a short circuit in the warehouse which caused the AC compressors to explode. The warehouse had a large number of computers, laptops and computer parts which were sold online.
The body of the watchman who died in the explosion has been handed over to the heirs after the post-mortem.
