Islamabad: On the recommendation of the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), the government has maintained the price of petrol and increased the price of diesel by seven and a half rupees.
Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar announced the change in the prices of petroleum products for the next fifteen days and said that the price of diesel has been increased by 7 rupees 50 paise from July 1 to the night of July 15.
He said that the government has not increased the price of petrol per liter for the next fortnight. Ishaq Dar said that OGRA had recommended keeping the prices to a minimum, which was decided after consultation with the Prime Minister.
The finance minister said that the price of oil has increased significantly in the world market due to which the price of diesel is being increased by seven and a half rupees per litre.

Earlier, Ogra had sent the summary of the prices of petroleum products for the next fortnight to the finance ministry. It was being shown that the government would give relief to the people.
