The staff level agreement between Pakistan and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) was made possible through the efforts of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had 3 meetings and contacts with IMF leadership in Paris in 2 days, Prime Minister also had meetings with MDIMF in Paris.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also met Islamic Development Bank President Muhammad Sulaiman Al Jasir in Paris.
After this meeting, President Islamic Development Bank (IDB) had assured Pakistan of financing of 1 billion dollars.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif himself issued orders to immediately make the measures suggested by the IMF a part of the budget.
It should be noted that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has signed a staff level agreement with Pakistan.
Pakistan and IMF have signed an agreement for 3 billion dollars standby arrangement.
The International Monetary Fund says that a 9-month standby agreement has been reached with Pakistan.
Regarding this, the president of Forex Association of Pakistan, Malik Muhammad Bustan, has said that if the markets open, the rate of the dollar will immediately decrease by 5 to 10 rupees.
Malik Bustan has said in his latest statement that the agreement with the IMF is very good news on Eid.
The President of Forex Association of Pakistan further said that Pakistan has to fulfill its agreements.
Malik Bustan has also said that the closed doors have been opened by receiving funds, foreign exchange will increase.
