Swat: Four local leaders including the former provincial minister of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Khyber Pakhtunkhwa surrendered to voluntary arrest to stop the unpleasant incident between workers and Levies.
According to Express News, former provincial minister of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf Shakeel Khan arrived in Batkhela area of Swat in a program where local officials and party leaders were also present.
When the Levies and the police got information about the PTI leader’s presence, they arrived with a heavy contingent to arrest her, after which the situation became tense and there was a risk of a clash.
Shakeel Khan and local leader Junaid Akbar exhorted the workers to remain peaceful and voluntarily arrested the levies officials to avoid clashes.
According to Malakand Levies, former PTI provincial minister and Jar leaders were involved in the incidents that took place on May 9 and 10, against whom cases have been registered. According to the spokesman, arrests were made during house raids under 3 MPOs.
Along with the former provincial minister, district and tehsil officials of PTI Maqbool, Jamal and Shahab have also been detained.
