A day before his daughter’s wedding in India, a four-member gang brutally tortured and killed a 61-year-old man.
According to Indian media reports, a 61-year-old man was killed a day before his daughter’s wedding in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.
According to Kalambalam police, the reception was going on at Raju’s residence till 11 pm. After the guests and relatives left, a group of four youths reached the house and started attacking the family.
The assailants initially tried to slap the bride, but Raju bravely intervened to stop the blow. Angered by this interference, he turned his aggression towards his father.
The accused attacked Raju with a sharp instrument, he was seriously injured and shifted to the hospital where the doctors declared him dead.
According to Raju’s relatives, one of the accused had earlier proposed to Raju’s daughter but his proposal was rejected. After that, the daughter’s marriage was fixed with someone else. The motive behind the attack is believed to be the accused’s resentment against the refusal.
The police have arrested the four accused who will be produced in the court soon.
