London: Research over the years has shown that children who enjoy learning in their early fifties tend to have better mental and cognitive abilities in adulthood.

In this regard, research has been conducted on nearly 10,000 people in the United States, in which there is strong evidence of a relationship between education and mental health. The research, published in the journal Psychological Medicine, included children from the US as well as China and the UK.

Then reading expands vocabulary and children’s understanding of the world. The reason is that our brain is formed during childhood in which reading from stories to ordinary books plays an important role. It maintains mental health and these effects are long-lasting.

American, Chinese, and British experts have studied data from thousands of children under the Adolescent Brain and Cognitive Development (ABCD) study. The data also included interviews, acquisition tests, mental, behavioral and psychological assessments. Apart from this, interviews were also conducted with the participants.

In summary, children should be taught the habit of studying between the ages of two and nine. Reading is beneficial at this age, but after that the benefits diminish.

The survey found that children who adopted the habit of studying between two and nine years of age also had less stress and depression. On the other hand, his brain structure was slightly better. Above all, the parts of the brain associated with thinking, learning and acquisition were seen to be enlarged.
