Hamad alias Shamshad, the accused in the murder case, was being taken to arrest other accomplices
Lahore: There was an exchange of fire between the Nishtar Colony Investigation Police and the robbers on Ashiana Road.
According to the police, the accused in custody in the murder case was being taken to arrest other accomplices. 5 accomplices of the detained accused Hamad alias Shamshad opened fire on the police.
Constable Muazzam was shot in the chest by the firing, which was protected due to the bullet-proof jacket. However, the arrested accused Hamad alias Shamshad was killed by his own accomplices.
The deceased accused was booked in several cases of murder and robbery. The police cordoned off the accused to search for his absconding accomplices.
SSP Investigation Dr. Anush Masood has said that the absconding accomplices will soon be caught by the police.
