Washington: American broadcaster CNN has obtained an audio recording of a meeting with Donald Trump in 2021 in which Trump discussed keeping classified documents.
The recording, released to US media for the first time, contains new details of conversations between Trump and his aides that provide evidence of a cover-up of sensitive information, raising the possibility of Trump’s impeachment.
The audio also includes the part where Trump mentioned in the conversation about a secret Pentagon document that contained a plan to attack Iran.
In the recording, Trump said that these were documents that discussed Pentagon attack plans. While these documents were not referred to by Trump during the court hearing.
In the two-minute audio recording, Trump and his aides also mocked Hillary Clinton’s emails at the former president’s behest, saying Hillary prints out her private emails all the time.
