Karachi: The President of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Karachi announced to leave the party post and basic membership and continue politics, he demanded that the people involved in the May 9 incidents should be made a lesson.

According to the details, Muhammad Akram Cheema announced his resignation from the party position and membership while holding a press conference at the Karachi Press Club. He said that what message did the people involved in the violent incidents of May 9 want to convey to the world? On May 9, the target was the armed forces. The statue of Captain Colonel Sher Khan was desecrated.

Akram Cheema said that the enemy officer praised his bravery while handing over his body. MM Alam’s plane was also targeted, who had the record of shooting down five planes in one minute. The sanctity of the four walls was violated by attacking the Corps Commander’s house. It was not appropriate to damage property under the guise of protest. After May 9, two cases were also registered against me. That’s why I went into hiding and now I have come on bail.

He said that I will continue politics, I will serve the country through politics. Akram Cheema demanded that the miscreants should be identified and punished severely. Former PTI leader Akram Cheema hinted at continuing politics in the future but refrained from joining any party.

Muhammad Akram Cheema became a member of the National Assembly on a PTI ticket in the 2018 general elections.

On the other hand, PTI leader Wasim Akhtar Rame from Lahore, Chaudhry Adnan, a former member of the Provincial Assembly from Rawalpindi, also parted ways.
