Karachi: The weather became pleasant in different areas of Shahr Quaid due to light and heavy rains late at night.
It rained in PAF Base Masroor, Jinnah Terminal, Saddar, Clifton, Burns Road, Old City Area, Tariq Road, Bahadurabad, New Town, Gulistan Johar, Gulshan Iqbal and Nazimabad.
According to the Meteorological Department, the highest rainfall was recorded at PAF Base Masroor, while 0.5 mm was recorded at Jinnah Terminal. At other observatories in Karachi, the rainfall remained below the prescribed scale of mm.
The highest rainfall in rural Sindh since last evening was 68 mm recorded in Chour. Sukkur recorded 57 mm, Mohenjodaro 32 mm, Jacobabad 21 mm, Badinmah 12 mm, Rohri 5 mm and Larkana 3 mm.
Monsoon system has started affecting the districts of rural Sindh. The Meteorological Department has predicted dust and thundershowers in the city on the second day of Eid.
Various districts of rural Sindh are also likely to receive moderate to heavy rains till June 30.
