IMF expressed satisfaction over the government's steps taken for economic reforms

Islamabad: The International Monetary Fund’s mission chief for Pakistan, Nathan Porter, says that over the past few days, Pakistani officials have taken decisive steps to align policies with the economic reform program.

In a statement, he said the economic reform program supported by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) included the approval of a budget by Parliament that broadened the tax base while allowing for higher social and development spending.
