Riyadh: The historic Nimra Mosque of Arafat Field has been established at the place where the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) gave the historic Farewell Sermon, which became a great document of human rights.

According to Al-Arabiya News, Dr. Yusuf bin Muhammad delivered the Hajj sermon today in Masjid Nimrah, which is the second largest mosque in Mecca and has 6 minarets and 3 domes. After Hajj sermon, Zahreen was delivered in Masjid Nimra.

It should be noted that the Nimra Mosque has been established at the place where the last Prophet of Allah (peace be upon him) gave his farewell sermon. This sermon is a charter of human rights.

The important historic Nimrah Mosque was also known as Masjid Ibrahim, Masjid Arafa and Masjid Arna. This mosque covers an area of ​​110,000 square meters and was first built during the Abbasid Caliphate in the middle of the second century AH.

The mosque, which was later expanded during the reign of the Saudi state, is 340 meters long from east to west and 240 meters wide from north to south. Its area is more than 110 thousand square meters. Behind it is the shaded area of ​​the mosque, the area of ​​which is approximately 8,000 square meters.

The expansion of Nimra Mosque during the Saudi state cost 237 million Rials. And this mosque became the second largest mosque in Makkah after Masjid Haram. Since the expansion, this mosque has a capacity of about 3.5 lakh worshippers.
