Illinois: Adolescence is a very delicate journey from boyhood to adulthood and boys and girls cannot control their focus and concentration. However, by exercising at this age, they can become mentally strong and control their attention.

In this regard, research has been conducted on boys and girls aged 15 to 18 years, which has been published in the ‘Scandinavian Journal of Medicine and Science in Sports’. Dominika Pindis of the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, who conducted the research, said exercise can maintain focus in this age group. By not losing focus frequently, boys and girls can perform well in studies.

For this, a survey has been conducted in a school in New South Wales, Australia. The aim was to note the relationship between physical activity and acquisition. In this regard, several boys and girls were fitted with accelerometers (accelerometers) in their hands or feet, which recorded their exercise.

Meanwhile, the volunteers were put through a computer-based test specifically designed to test concentration and focus. It also compared between adolescents aged 15 to 18 and older groups. Meanwhile, test accuracy and reaction speed were similar in both groups, but adolescent boys and girls performed slightly better on tests of concentration and attention than the other groups. It showed that physical exercise improves attention and there was practical evidence for this.

Meanwhile, it was interestingly revealed that girls have a remarkable ability to maintain attention even with less exercise. They do not wander around in work and maintain their concentration. Based on this research, experts have advised boys and girls between 15 and 18 years of age to exercise regularly.
