After the Titan sub tragedy, the American couple has withdrawn the case against the chief executive (CEO) of Oceangate.
According to foreign media reports, the American couple filed a lawsuit in February claiming that Asiangate CEO Stockton Rush (head of Titan) booked a deep-sea cruise on the Titan submarine in 2018. The diving program was repeatedly cancelled.
A couple from the US state of Florida have now dismissed the case against OceanGate.
It should be remembered that in the accident that happened to the submarine of the Ocean Gate Company, its CEO, Stockton Rush, has also died, Stockton Rush was among the five people on board the submarine.
On the other hand, according to the foreign media ‘Independent’, the American couple Mark and Sharon Heigl filed a lawsuit against the company in February in which they claimed that Mr. Rush repeatedly made a deep sea dive. Canceled the project they had booked for the Titan submarine in 2018.
Now, after news of Oceangate CEO Rush’s death has emerged, the couple have said the victims’ ‘honor, respect and dignity’ are more important than their lawsuit.
According to the report, the Hagels’ legal battle was based on the $210,000 they deposited into Oceangate in 2018.
The couple put up the money in hopes of becoming the first paying customers of the deep-sea exploration company.
