Pakistani film 'Joyland' will release in India on March 10

Karachi: Pakistani director Saim Sadiq’s film ‘Joyland’ will be released in India on March 10.

The film’s worldwide release dates have been announced on the film’s official page in Instagram.

After Shoaib Mansoor’s film ‘Bol’, ‘Joyland’ is the first Pakistani film to be released in India after a decade.

According to the official Instagram page of the film, the film will be released in Spain, UK, Switzerland, India and Eastern European countries.

Sources have also confirmed that HBO has acquired the rights to the film for Eastern Europe, while talks are ongoing for Italy, Latin America and Israel.

It should be noted that the film has faced severe criticism in Pakistan for its controversial subject of homosexuality and the Punjab government had banned its screening in the province.
