Karachi: The State Bank of Pakistan on the request of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has issued new timings for all banks for the purpose of clearing taxes received on 27, 28, and 30 June 2023 to facilitate the taxpayers.
According to State Bank, on Tuesday 27th June 2023, all banks and field offices of SBP, BSC will be open for clearing from 9 am to 8 pm on the same day, while all the branches of banks which are open on Saturdays. On Wednesday, June 28, 2023, it will be open for same-day clearing from 9 AM to 2 PM.
National Bank’s Custom House Branch will be open on Friday 30 June 2023 from 9 am to 5:30 pm for special clearing on 3 July 2023 at 9 am (dated 30 June 2023).
For the closing of the financial year 2022-23, which will be held on 3 July 2023, the State Bank’s core banking as well as the Pakistan Real Time Interbank Settlement Mechanism (PRISM) will operate with an effective date of 30 June 2023.
Similarly, the Bank and M/s Nift will count 30th June 2023 as a business day in their systems to facilitate the settlement of special clearing on 3rd July 2023 for the date of 30th June 2023.
