Karachi: The video confessional statement of junkie Akhtar Ali, who was arrested for buying goods stolen from steel mills under the auspices of the police, has gone viral on social media.
Akhtar Ali mentioned the name of former SHO along with SHO bin Qasim, DSP and head editor in the confessional video. On the statement of the junkie who buys and sells stolen goods, the civic circles say that the top police officers make loud claims regarding the appointment of SHOs that thanidars are appointed on merit while SHOs are appointed on merit. The citizens said that no sufficient measures were taken by the senior police officers in this regard, which has been brought against DSP and former SHO bin Qasim Malik Ashraf by the arrested Kabadiye, while SHO bin Qasim Idris Bangash has been removed from the post.
