Peshawar: A Sikh businessman was killed in the firing by unknown suspects in Yeka Tut area.
According to the police, unknown suspects opened fire and seriously injured a Sikh businessman in Yeka Tut area, who succumbed to his injuries while being shifted to the hospital.
Police say that the killed Sikh businessman has been identified as Manmohan Singh, the unknown assailants managed to escape after the incident.
There is a second attack on the Sikh community in Peshawar within 24 hours, Terlok Singh was shot and injured yesterday, the police have collected evidence from the scene and started the investigation.
Meanwhile, the Caretaker Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Azam Khan, taking notice of the killing of Sikh businessman Manmohan Singh in Peshawar, ordered the police to investigate the incident immediately.
Barrister Feroze Jamal Shah Kakakhel, in charge of provincial information, said in his statement that miscreants are targeting the minority community to destroy the peace of the area, no one will be allowed to disturb the peace and atmosphere of brotherhood in the city.
He said that the provincial government and the people stand with the minority brothers and the accused will be brought to justice.
