During the shooting of a drama of a private TV channel in Karachi, actress Hira Mani, film director Nabil Qureshi and other staff members were attacked by local residents.
According to reports, the shooting of a private TV drama was going on in PIB Colony Jamshed Quarter when the local residents attacked and misbehaved with the staff.
Director Nabil Qureshi while giving the details of the incident on social networking website Twitter said that a mob harassed the actress and crew members, their mobile phones and other belongings were also stolen.
Nabil Qureshi claimed in another tweet that the attackers were armed, such an incident had never happened in Karachi before.
The film director demanded the authorities to take strict action against the accused involved in the incident to make this incident an example and ensure the future protection of the filmmakers.
On the other hand, the police say that initially 2 people were detained, the investigation related to the incident is going on.
