ECC meeting;  Approval of extension of sugar export period

Islamabad: The Economic Coordination Committee (ICC) of the Cabinet has approved the extension of sugar export period, technical supplementary grants to various ministries have also been approved.

According to the details, in the Economic Coordination Committee meeting chaired by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, the ECC approved a 60-day extension in the export period of sugar.

The sugar export period has been extended for the quota of Sindh sugar mills, after which the sugar mills will be able to export the remaining 32 thousand metric tons of sugar from June 12.

Apart from this, in the meeting of ECC, 2 billion 50 crore rupees was also approved for salaries and pension of Pakistan Railways employees.

Apart from this, 250 billion rupees were approved to meet the expenses of the provinces, 3 billion 62 crore 60 rupees were also approved for the Ministry of Housing and Works.
