Karachi: It has been decided to allow Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) flight operations from Baku to Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad.
According to the spokesperson of the Aviation Division, the Ambassador of Azerbaijan Khizr Farhadov met with the Federal Minister of Aviation Khawaja Saad Rafiq in which bilateral relations and matters of mutual interest were discussed.
During the meeting, it was agreed to increase the air links between the two countries. After this meeting, it was decided to allow Azerbaijan Airlines to operate flight operations from Baku to Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad.
In this regard, an understanding has been reached between PIA and Azerbaijan Airlines on code sharing.
Federal Aviation Minister Khawaja Saad Rafiq says that there are deep religious, cultural and fraternal relations between the two countries, the promotion of mutual flights will promote tourism and trade between the two countries.
He said that IT/Transport Minister of Azerbaijan is expected to visit Pakistan in mid-July.
