Karachi: Pakistan Customs Enforcement Collectorate is continuing the anti-smuggling campaign on a daily basis.
Sources told Express that on the secret information received by Collector Customs Enforcement Karachi Amir Thahim, a team consisting of Senior Preventive Officers Tariq Mahmood, Tayyab and other Customs officers and officers under the leadership of Additional Collector Amjad Rajpar monitored the elements involved in illegal trade and smuggling. A case has been registered against the accused by confiscating Indian gutka, chalia, Iranian diesel worth more than 13 crore rupees.
According to the FIR registered by the Customs Department, the said team of the Anti-Smuggling Organization raided the marker factory of M/s AH Metal Factory in Haroonabad area of the site and found 3630 kg of bark worth Rs 23 lakh 97 lakh from the factory. And smuggled Indian Gutka worth 13.31 million has been recovered and a case has been registered against the accused.
