In the SAFF Football Championship, Pakistan faced the worst defeat in their first match against traditional rivals India.
India defeated Pakistan 0-4 in the match played at the Sri Kanteerava Stadium in Bangalore, Indian captain Sunil Chhatri scored a hat-trick in the match and led the team to victory.
India put pressure on Pakistan from the start of the match and in the 10th minute captain Sunil Chhatri took full advantage of a mistake by Pakistani goalkeeper Saqib Hanif to score the first goal, and scored the second goal just five minutes later. Doubled the lead.
