Karachi: The newly elected mayor of Karachi, Barrister Murtaza Wahab, has announced a road map for the development of the city and contesting local body elections in the next ten days.
Murtaza Wahab assumed his duties at KMC Building as the 27th Mayor, before assuming charge of his office, he visited Mazar-e-Quaid, recited Fatiha at the grave of Father of the Nation and also laid floral wreath.
Addressing a press conference with Deputy Mayor Salman Abdullah Murad and party leaders in Friar Hall, Murtaza Wahab said that he will respond to criticism with work, PPP will bring such a system of development in the city that everyone will see, allied parties and Thanks to the party leadership who believed, the city has been made uncluttered, the city is beautiful, we have to make it.
Murtaza Wahab said, “We are grateful to Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto, Asif Ali Zardari, Faryal Talpur and Chief Minister of Sindh who expressed full confidence, now work will be seen in Karachi, we will be criticized, we will respond with work, in the next ten days. We will select one of the UCs and we will not wait for sixty days.
Murtaza Wahab said that those who criticize that we are not elected should know that we have been elected by the city council and we are not unelected. We are also thankful to PML-N and JUI. Will do, 25 million works per town will jump.
