Lahore: In the Panama scandal, the companies of Chaudhry Parvez Elahi and Mons Elahi were also revealed, after which the FIA collected important evidence and registered a case against Chaudhry Parvez, while his arrest is expected.
A case was registered against Monis Elahi and Parvez Elahi under the provisions of fraud, money laundering and corruption.
Chaudhry Parvez Elahi and Chaudhry Munis Elahi allegedly hid billions of rupees in five Panama companies and Chaudhry Parvez bought companies in Panama through alleged money laundering. Evidence of illegal transfer of money abroad from Pakistan was also received.
Munis Elahi committed corruption from 2004 to 2023 as a member of the National and Punjab Assembly through his front man Gibran Khan. Munis Elahi did corruption and money laundering with the help of his father Parvez Elahi.
Parvez Elahi has been appointed in important positions in Punjab and National Assembly for the past 20 years. Mons Elahi laundered money earned through corruption and bribery. According to the text of the FIR, Mons Elahi transferred money laundering funds abroad through various offshore/shell companies.
FIA has decided to issue further red notice against Mons Elahi, further investigation will continue against Mons Elahi.
It should be noted that Monis Elhi is already on the run from the country for fear of investigation.
