Pakistan did not receive any bids for LNG supply in October and December.
Sources in the Petroleum Division say that Pakistan LNG Limited had invited bids for the purchase of 6 LNG cargoes for October and December.
3 LNG cargoes were required for October and 3 for December, bids were invited in October for October 5 to 6, October 20 to 21 and October 31 supplies.
Sources said that bids were also invited for December 7-8, December 13-14, December 24-25 supply.
According to Petroleum Division sources, today was the last date for submission of these bids and they were to be opened today.
Sources have further informed that bids have also been invited for the supply of 3 spot LNG cargoes for January and February.
Tenders for supply of LNG cargo for January 3-4, January 28-29 and February 23-24 have also been invited.
The deadline for submission of bids for January and February LNG supplies is July 14, while bids for spot LNG cargoes are to be opened on July 14.
