Rawalpindi: The Child Protection Bureau has arrested the accused for torturing three young domestic workers in Sadiqabad area.
In this regard, Child Protection Bureau Chairperson Sara Ahmed said that the video of the torture of three employed children went viral and taking notice of the incident, action was taken.
He said that the team of Child Protection Bureau Rawalpindi was immediately instructed to take the three affected children into protective custody and the affected children include one girl Humira and 2 children Arsalan and Rehman who are around 10 years old. .
Chairperson Sara Ahmed said that the owner named Humira tortured the girl with sticks, belts, slaps, dowels and nails on her face. .
He said that among the children taken into protective custody is Rehman, the son of accused Nazir. Accused Nazir is the leader of a group of forced laborers who used to bring children to Rawalpindi from Chicha Watani and its adjoining areas.
The Chairperson said that strict action will be taken against the accused Nazir and the family who tortured the children and they will be punished.
