Customs seized smuggled goods worth Rs 18 crore

Karachi: Pakistan Customs Quetta, acting under anti-smuggling campaign, seized goods worth Rs.18 crore.

According to Customs Spokesperson Zata Barich, during the anti-smuggling campaign, Chinese, non-customs-paid vehicles, tires, electronic products were seized.

According to the spokesman, Customs Lakpass recovered 2100 bags of smuggled sugar worth Rs 6 crore, besides 2500 cigarette sticks worth Rs 75 lakh.

Apart from this, chalia, urea, diesel, petrol worth one crore were seized while 235 bags of sugar and 58 bags of sugar were also recovered from a gas bowser.

According to the spokesman, the total value of the seized smuggled goods is more than Rs 18 crore.
