Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan and his son, actor Abhishek Bachchan, are the only father-son duo to be inscribed in the Guinness Book of World Records.
Actors Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan set this world record in 2009 with their unique roles in the film ‘Paa’, which has not been broken by any other actor-father-son duo till now.
It may be recalled that in the movie ‘Pa’ in 2009, actor Abhishek Bachchan played the role of his real father i.e. Amitabh Bachchan’s father.
The story of this film revolves around a sickly thirteen-year-old boy who, due to suffering from a fatal disease like progeria, reaches old age rapidly.
Amitabh Bachchan played the role of this thirteen-year-old child, while Amitabh Bachchan’s real-life son Abhishek Bachchan and actress Vidya Balan played the role of his parents in the film Paa.
It should be noted that this is the only father-son actor pair who have held a world record by playing opposite roles on screen.
Apart from this, Abhishek Bachchan also holds another world record of promoting his film ‘Delhi 6’ in 8 cities in 12 hours.
