Awami League leader Mehmood Alam was arrested on the charge of killing a journalist in Bangladesh.
According to the police, the slain journalist had written some reports about Mehmood Babu’s family, on which his colleagues tortured and killed local journalist Ghulam Rabbani outside his house in Jamalpur city.
Mehmood Babu, who tried to escape to India, was arrested near the border of India, 6 of his accomplices involved in the murder have also been arrested.
