Peshawar: 4 people died and 25 were injured in Bannu due to the collapse of walls and roofs and other accidents during the torrential rain.
According to Express News, four people were killed and 25 injured as a result of the collapse of walls and roofs of houses in different areas during the torrential rain in Bannu.
Rescue 1122 shifted the bodies of the dead and the injured to the hospital, while an emergency was imposed in the three government hospitals of the city.
According to Rescue 1122 officials, 3 children were seriously injured when a wall collapsed due to rain in Surani area and a person was seriously injured when a wall collapsed in Khojari. Similarly, 5 people were injured due to wall collapse in Char Murri.
Victims from other areas have also been transferred to the hospital, while the death toll is expected to increase. According to the sources, all the incidents of wall and roof collapse have occurred in suburban areas.
Meanwhile, according to Rescue 1122 officials, one person was injured when the roof of the veranda in front of the police station collapsed due to torrential rain in Nurang Tehsil of Lucky Marwat.
A truck traveling from Peshawar to Karachi overturned due to strong winds near Manjiwala, injuring one person.
The medical team of Rescue 1122 shifted the injured to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Sarai Nurang after providing first aid.
