Eating most of the food before 1 pm can help prevent diabetes

New York: According to a study, eating 80 percent of the calories for the day before 1:00 p.m. can help prevent type 2 diabetes.

A study led by scientists at the New York University Grossman School of Medicine found that eating more food earlier in the day improved blood sugar fluctuations and improved blood sugar levels. Sugar levels may decrease during high blood sugar levels.

The team of researchers selected 10 people who were obese and had high blood sugar levels for the study.

In the study, scientists compared early time-restricted feeding (a method in which 80 percent of the day’s food is taken before 1 p.m. ETRF: Early Time Restricted Feeding) with regular eating times ( in which half of the daily calories are taken after four o’clock in the afternoon).

The study participants ate one way for the first week and switched to the other way for the second week.

During the study, participants were given enough calories to maintain their weight and wore blood sugar monitors throughout the process.

The analysis found that when people consumed more calories before 1:00 p.m., they had lower blood sugar spikes during that period than those who ate normally.

The study’s senior author, Jose Elman, said the researchers reduced the duration of blood sugar spikes in participants with the ETRF regimen in just one week. That is, if most of your daily food intake is consumed in the early part of the day, the duration of blood sugar levels is reduced, which improves the metabolic system.
