Dr. Sulaiman Lalani, a Pakistani-American member of the Texas Assembly, has introduced a bill in the Texas Assembly to provide halal food to Muslim students in all schools across the state.
If the bill is passed, provision of halal food for breakfast and lunch will be ensured for Muslim students in all schools of the state.
Speaking at Asrana in honor of Pakistani-American media in Houston, Dr. Sulaiman Lalani said that he will soon organize a Muslim Youth Conference to raise awareness among Muslim students about the importance of participating in American politics.
On this occasion, Dr. Lalani said that in the first session of the Texas State Assembly, he presented 117 bills in which 22 bills have been passed by the upper and lower houses and 18 have been signed by the governor.
He said that he has tried hard to fulfill the promises he made before the elections.
He further said that the young generation needs to come forward in American politics and we will provide training opportunities to the youth who want to do so.
