Karachi: Due to possible cyclone and rains, the 9-storied building of Liaquatabad Supermarket has been closed by SBCA 750 shops have been sealed as suspicious.
According to Express News, the building’s basement, ground floor, mezzanine floor and 9-storey building have been sealed from all sides, the supermarket also has four government offices which have been sealed. The sealed building houses the offices of Water Board, State Department, Library and KMC Lease.
This action was taken by Assistant Commissioner Liaquatabad on the indication of SBCA, several feet of water has accumulated in the basement of the sealed supermarket for the past several years due to which the Liaquatabad supermarket was declared very unsafe even several years ago. was
