Two-time Oscar-winning British actress and former politician Glenda Jackson has died at the age of 87.
According to foreign media reports, according to sources close to the actress, actress Glenda Jackson died at her home in London after a short illness.
It may be noted that the actress had recently completed the filming of ‘The Great Escaper’, a film based on the true story of World War II, in which she worked with British actor Michael Caine.
She won the Oscar for Best Actress in 1970 for the film ‘Women in Love’ based on the novel by author DH Lawrence and in 1973 for her outstanding performance in the film ‘A Touch of Class’.
