Beijing: In the meeting between the presidents of China and Palestine, it was agreed to establish a strategic partnership between the two countries, the details of which will be announced later.
According to the international news organization, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas arrived in Beijing on a 5-day visit to China, where he was warmly welcomed. He attended the reception ceremony of the Great Hall of the People and signed the memorandum.
During the meeting, Chinese President Xi Jinping has assured his Palestinian counterpart Mahmoud Abbas that he will cooperate with Palestine for a quick, fair and lasting settlement of the conflict with Israel.
On this occasion, President Xi Jinping has also expressed his determination to promote friendship and cooperation with Palestine in all fields.
Chinese President Xi added that today we will jointly announce the establishment of the China-Palestine Strategic Partnership, which will be an important milestone in the history of bilateral relations.
It should be remembered that in a press briefing last week, Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Wang Wenbin described Palestinian leader Abbas as an old and good friend of the Chinese people.
Earlier, the Chinese President visited Saudi Arabia in December where he met Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and promised to work for a quick, just and lasting solution to the Palestinian issue.
