Islamabad: The Supreme Court, while issuing a written order in the Somoto case on Arshad Sharif’s murder, rejected the request to include five persons, including Chairman PTI, in the investigation.
The court said in the order that the Attorney General told the court that the governments of Kenya and the United Arab Emirates are in the process of negotiating mutual legal assistance agreements with the federal government respectively, and that such agreements will take some time to implement. .

According to the order, Arshad Sharif’s second wife’s lawyer referred the court to UN representatives and committees involved in the investigation of human rights violations around the world. Arshad Sharif’s mother filed two separate applications. referred to, in which he has mentioned the names of certain persons who have knowledge of the conspirators and criminals involved in his son’s murder.
According to the order, the mother’s lawyer requested the court to direct the SJIT to examine the said persons. The court in Somoto is merely facilitating the investigation into the murder of Arshad Sharif, the case will be heard again in July 2023.
