Russia’s ambassador in Cairo, Georgy Boryshenko, has announced that Egypt has applied to join BRICS.
The Russian ambassador said in an interview to the news agency that the BRICS countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa) are working to trade in alternative currencies, whether it is the national currency of these countries or a new common currency, Egypt. I am interested.
The ambassador said that Egypt wants to increase trade and economic cooperation with Russia.
He said that a new payment system for commercial transactions is being worked on.
