In Karachi’s Ibrahim Hydari area, the water level has risen to several feet, while in the coastal areas of Thatta, Sajawal and Badin, high transmission line poles fell due to rain and strong winds, due to which electricity supply was suspended in many areas.
Before the arrival of the cyclone, the city of Kati Bandar was evacuated, the coastal areas of Badin and Sajawal also started evacuation.
Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has said that 22 thousand 260 people have been shifted to safe places from the coastal belt of Sindh.
Yesterday Federal Minister for Climate Change Sherry Rehman said that the cyclone will definitely hit the port of Keti, Keti Bandar, Thatta and Badin have been affected.
According to the estimates of the Meteorological Department, the storm will hit between Kati Bandar in Sindh and Indian Gujarat on June 15 afternoon or evening.
On the other hand, Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfraz says that the intensity of the cyclone has decreased somewhat.
Talking to Shahzeb Khanzada on Geo News program today, he said that there is no dangerous situation in Karachi, the cyclone will leave the south of Karachi.
