Mumbai: Renowned Indian musician Anu Malik has revealed that Javed Akhtar left the recording of the song ‘Tum Se Mil Ke’ from the film ‘Main Hoon Na’ as a protest.

‘Tum Se Mil Ke’ was the famous song of the 2004 film which was sung by Sonu Nigam in her beautiful voice while the film also featured Shah Rukh Khan, Amrita Rao and Sushmita Sen.

In a recent interview, Anu Malik said that Javed Akhtar objected to putting English words in the Qawwali and left the studio in anger.

He said that film director Farah Khan brought Javed Akhtar to the recording session again after persuading him and told him that he (Anu Malik) is doing everything under his direction and she wants mix qawwali for the film.

The famous film song was penned by Javed Akhtar and music was given by Anu Malik and became popular with its release.
