Karachi: It has been 11 years since Shahshay Ghazal Mehdi Hasan Khan was separated from his fans.
The famous singer has sung more than 25 thousand songs and ghazals and ruled the hearts of millions of fans in the sub-continent of Pakistan and in recognition of his artistic services, he has been awarded several awards including Tamgha Imtiaz, Satara Imtiaz, Pride of Performance and Nigar Award by the government. Also awarded.
Mehdi Hasan, born on July 18, 1927 in the famous music family of the Indian state of Rajasthan, entered the singing arena in 1935 at the age of eight.
After the establishment of Pakistan, 20-year-old Mehdi Hasan came to Pakistan with his family and started working as a laborer repairing bicycles in the city of Chichawatani in Punjab, he was also a motor and tractor mechanic.
Mehdi Hasan gained fame with the ghazal “Gulu Mein Rang Bhare” sung in the 1962 film “Frangi”.
Mehdi Hassan, the great singer of the music world, passed away on June 13, 2012 after a long illness.
