Kotli: A bus returning from Nirian Urs met with an accident as a result of which 9 pilgrims died.
According to Express News, a bus returning from Nirian to Urs met with an accident in Azad Kashmir’s Kotli, the bus going from Nirian to Gujranula fell into a deep ditch from Nad (Jarai), resulting in the death of 9 pilgrims and 13 were seriously injured.
Commissioner Mirpur Chaudhary Shaukat said that the rescue process has been completed at the accident site while the bodies and injured have been taken to Mirpur DHQ. He said that 13 injured have reached Mirpur Hospital, out of which the condition of 3 is said to be critical.
Chaudhry Shaukat said that a large number of Jamia students have also come to the hospital for blood donation. Commissioner Mirpur said that initially the cause of the accident seems to be brake failure.
