Lahore: The engine of the Green Line Express from Karachi to Islamabad derailed at Ghotki station, but the train narrowly escaped a major accident.
According to the railway spokesperson, the Green Line 5 Up Green Line Express was crossing the Farid Express standing on the loop line at Ghotki Railway Station when the engine of the Green Line suddenly derailed.
The engine of the Green Line Express narrowly missed hitting the Farid Express by two inches. 37 Up Farid Express was going from Karachi to Lahore.
The up-track was closed after the engine derailment of the Green Line Express, but the rehabilitation work is going on by the railway staff.
After the accident, the Farid Express parked on the loop line was sent to its destination.
