Almond curd is more useful than traditional curd

Massachusetts: A new study shows that yogurt made from plants contains more fiber than yogurt made from milk.

In this study conducted at the University of Massachusetts, USA, yogurt was classified as the lowest in terms of component density. Yogurt made from almonds, barley, low-fat and non-fat dairy, cashew and coconut were compared in this ranking.

The aim of the research was to analyze the micronutrient and multinutrient values ​​of plant-based and dairy yogurts offered for sale between 2016 and 2021.

A study published in Frontiers in Nutrition found that plant-based yogurts were significantly lower in protein, calcium, potassium, sodium, and sugars than dairy yogurts, while higher in fiber.

In the study, yogurt made from almonds was found to have the highest concentration of components compared to all other types of yogurt.

According to experts, dairy yogurt is high in fat, while plant-based yogurt can be a healthy diet for good cardiovascular health.
