Lahore: 9 dangerous terrorists were arrested during operations of CTD in different cities in view of terrorism concerns.
According to the Counter Terrorism Department spokesman, 9 dangerous terrorists have been arrested during the intelligence-based operation. These operations were carried out in Multan, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Bahawalpur, Sahiwal and Gujranwala. The terrorists belong to various banned organizations.
Explosive materials, detonators, bullets and cash have been recovered from the terrorists. According to the authorities, the arrested terrorists were identified as Atiq, Rashid, Riaz, Siddique, Shoaib, Raheeq, Zahid, Kashif and Maqsood. Investigation has been started by registering 9 cases against the terrorists.
According to the spokesperson, 56 suspects have been arrested during 284 combing operations this week, during which 13949 people were questioned. CTD officials say that Mahfouz is determined to pursue the goal of a safe Punjab and root out the menace of terrorism.
