Peshawar: Finance Advisor KP Sakhidullah has said that the government has decided to extend the tax exemption for the integrated tribal areas (formerly FATA) in the province for another 2 years.

Talking to journalists in Peshawar, the finance adviser said that along with the former FATA, the former tribal areas under the administration of the province (Pata, Malakand Division) will also get more exemptions for two years. Completed the preparation.

He said that the size of the budget is likely to be 550 to 600 billion. The budget for four months of the next financial year will be presented, however, the budget for the entire year has also been prepared. If a new government does not come even after four months, there will be no problem regarding the budget, salaries and pensions of government employees. An increase of 15 to 20 percent is being considered.

The finance adviser said that there is a possibility of a development program of 268 billion for the next financial year, the size of the provincial ADP will be 130 billion, 55 billion for the merged districts, 26 billion for the tehsils of Bandubasti districts and 10 billion for the tehsils of the merged districts. Billion development funds are being allocated.

The finance adviser said that no new tax will be levied in the next financial year’s budget, nor will any new development plan be included. The province is likely to receive 876 billion rupees from the center during the next financial year, referring to the war against terrorism. Funding is also maintained.

He added that the province is expected to earn 85 billion from its own resources during the next financial year, 30 percent of the province’s budget is spent on education, 20 percent on health, 20 percent on pensions and debt payments, on peace and order. 10% of the budget is spent, the remaining 20% ​​is spent on all other departments.
