The prime minister has said that due to the challenges of flood relief and rehabilitation, making the next budget was a particularly difficult task.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said after the announcement of the federal budget that it was difficult to make the budget due to the obstacles in the global supply chain and challenges arising from geo-strategic changes.
Shahbaz Sharif said that the political instability created by Imran Niazi had damaged the economy, adding that the budget represented the beginning of fixing the economy’s long-term ills.
He said that the coalition government has prioritized the right sectors that can accelerate economic growth, has also prioritized those sectors that can attract investment and make the economy self-sufficient.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that considering the inflation, he has given salaries to government employees and relief to pensioners.
He said that considering the inflation, the minimum wage has been increased to 32 thousand rupees, without any new tax, a more balanced budget was not possible within the current constraints.
The Prime Minister said that I appreciate all those who were part of this exercise and played a role in budgeting, the economy is in dire need of reforms which can be done in a stable political environment.
He also said that the charter economy seems to be the only way for the political parties to achieve the prosperity of the people.
