Islamabad: The government has issued a diamond card for overseas Pakistanis.
Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, while presenting the budget for the next fiscal year in the National Assembly, said that the two percent final tax imposed on the purchase of immovable property for overseas Pakistanis is being abolished.
He said that a new “Diamond Card” is being issued in the category of foreign exchange cards. This card will be issued to those who send foreign exchange more than 50 thousand dollars annually.
Ishaq Dar said that diamond card holders will be given a non-prohibited bore arms license while they will also be provided with a gratis passport issued to important government figures and such Pakistanis will be given priority access to embassies and consulates. will go
He said that fast track immigration facility will be provided to diamond card holders at Pakistani airports while a scheme will be launched by the State Bank to give big prizes to remittance card holders through lottery.
