A knife-wielding man attacked schoolchildren in Annecy, France, injuring four children and two teenagers.
According to media reports, among the injured children, two children are two years old, one is 22 months old and one child is three years old.
The report further states that the condition of two children injured in the stabbing is critical, one of the injured children is a British citizen as confirmed by British Foreign Secretary James Cleverly.
One of the children is a citizen of the Netherlands, the local prosecutor said.
The incident took place in Le Pake Park, which is a tourist hotspot due to Lake Annecy and the mountains.
The accused was controlled by the police personnel on the lake bank.
The suspect in the stabbing attack is a 31-year-old Syrian national who was allowed to live in Sweden as a refugee 10 years ago.
The accused recently applied for asylum in France and his application is still pending.
The accused married a Swedish woman but they separated 8 months ago, he is the father of a three-year-old child, the accused came to France at the end of last year.
