Lahore: The anti-narcotics force arrested three suspects after thwarting the attempt to smuggle a large quantity of drugs.
According to ANF spokesperson, ANF Intelligence and ANF Lahore seized 153 kg 400 grams of drugs from Shahzor vehicle near Kalashah Kaku Toll Plaza, Lahore and arrested 2 suspects.
The recovered drugs include 130 kg 800 grams of hashish, 21 kg 600 grams of opium and one kilogram of heroin.
The two suspects in the vehicle belong to Peshawar and South Waziristan, on the identification of which the ANF raided near the vegetable market.
In the raid, more drugs were recovered from a rickshaw and a rickshaw driver resident of Lahore was arrested.
According to ANF spokesperson, the recovered drugs were to be smuggled to Lahore, Gujranullah, Hafizabad, Jardanwala and Narowal.
A case has been registered against the arrested accused under the Anti-Narcotics Act and investigation has been started.
